Reimbursement for Medicare Patients

An Arizona Mayo Clinic will no longer accept new Medicare patients. Reimbursement is far less, about 50% less, than the costs of providing care. We in private practice know this, now the rest of the country will know. Is this just the beginning?

Barbara Beardsell Witherspoon Yes, it's just the beginning. I know a physician who has a nice practice seeing patients in assisted living facilities; she has done very well in this venue. She is getting out of it because of the Medicare reimbursement.
